IMMIGRATION FAQ

An ICE hold is often placed on foreign nationals when they are in jail. It means that the Department of Homeland Security has notified the jail to transfer the person to Immigration custody after the completion of their jail term.
The answer to this question depends on a number of factors such as criminal history, length of residence in the community, employment history, family ties in the United States, record of nonappearances in court proceedings, manner of entry, eligibility for relief from deportation, and financial resources. At D&N Law Group we will be able to assist you in determining whether your loved one is eligible for bond.
Just because you loved one is not granted a bond does not mean they will get deported. It just means that they have to fight their case while they are in Immigration Custody. Immigration proceedings for those who are not released on bond move very quickly. This is why it is important that you retain an Immigration Attorney as soon as possible to help fight your loved one’s case.
There are many forms of relief available to those who are in deportation proceedings. At D&N Law Group we will analyze your loved ones criminal history, immigration history, and family ties to determine what types of relief they qualify for.
You are not required to have an Immigration Attorney in Immigration Court but it is highly recommended that you retain one. Immigration consequences for those who are in the U.S. unlawfully are often very harsh. At D&N Law Group we have a proven track record of success in many Immigration Court cases.
